Spend my money
Ok so i just got a huge new promotion at my new job and have been working my butt off. So as a present to myself the wifey has told me to get a new gun. Got to love her :-) well i cant decide on what to get. She asked that i try to keep it under 800 but other than that im free to do whatever. So im between a glock 35, m&p pro 40, and sig p226r 40. I already have a glock 22 and 19, so im farmiliar with the glock platform but i dont know if ill motice a difference between the 22 and the 35. Im a proficcient shooter but no dave sevigny. Also im up for other options, as long as its not an XD. Nothing against them they just not right for me. And also im open to 1911 options but 45 ammo is really expensive now.
Sorry to ramble but if you can help its much appreciated.

Well, I can help with one option - the M&P Pro is only offered in 9mm. There is no .40 Pro.

Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.

Sorry Matt, but you are wrong about that. There is a Pro in 40 cal.
The Ruger MKIII 22/45 is the worst handgun in history to take apart, but is one of the funnest to shoot...

.45 ammo is expensive these days and I thought I was done with it......and then came along this TLE.
I'm pretty confident that you can find a very nice 1911 for $800 with a bit of careful shopping.

I have to M&P's so I'd say go for it! I love both of mine. I actually switched from an xd to an M&P for carry. Check out gandrtactical.com if you're interested in an m&p

Cool! Didn't see it on the S&W site. My wife has a 9 Pro, and it's a nice shooting pistol.

if your only using it for carry, try out several and see what feels best, if it will just be to add to a collection consider what will appreciate in value most, or what you may have a future need for. A revolver if you decide to hunt as a back up, or a weapon that you just always had a desire to own. As far as the cost of ammo, I own several .45s as my carry weapons and nothing less than that caliber as that is what I shoot best and feel best carrying, the cost is not at all prohibitive. Enjoy your ability to quandry the situation and Congrats on the new promotion!

$800 lines you up perfectly for a loaded SA 1911. Wallyworld has piles of WWB 45ACP as well as Winchester 230gr JHPs. Your great grandkids will still be shooting it.

Go with the M&P40 full size I use it in three gun competitions and as a EDC... but If you really want a Pro go for it. the M&P line-up won't disappoint you.

For something in that size range, I'd go with the Sig P226.

I know this thread is about handguns but for the money and the deal going on right now, I'd take that $800 and buy one of those S&W M&P15 from CDNN. (Plus, you can get a $100 rebate!)
Best deal out there for an AR15 right now!
