.380 Cal Smith and Wesson Bodyguard
The .380 is an effective self defense round. It all depends on the round you carry. I suggest the Golden Sabere by Remington or the Federal Hydra-Shock. The .380 is an attractive round for leagle permit carrying individuals. Easly handeled and just as effective for self defence situations. This is not a military grade pistol but can stop the bad guy and your girlfriend can handle the recoil. The point is personal protection in a compact platform.
