Have both, love both, carry the 642 a lot more; it's just easier to carry.

I'd get the Smith & Wesson hands down.

I personally think everyone should have a s&w j-frame. Get one and a bare asset or mr. softy from high noon, and you have an easy on/off carry in any sort of clothes combo.

Had both (sort of...637, but close enough).

In terms of reliability, there's no question.

But if your criteria absolutely requires a smaller size than a "snubbie" revolver, then there are only a few choices. The P11 is a bit smaller, though rides thinner.

Either can be easily concealed with appropriate clothing and cover garments.

As well, some people find they are not accurate with certain guns. For example, I never was that accurate with a snub-nosed revolver. Any revolver with a 3" barrel or larger seemed fine, but there was something about the balance that simply didn't do it for me. Hence, semi-autos have been much more my speed. YMMV.

I'd go with the 642, it has more flexibility options, IWB, pocket, ankle and for me would be better all around, the only thing the KT has on the 642 is capacity.

Are you kidding, its no comparison, any S&W product is far better than any Kel Tec product. Get the J frame.
