This is a discussion on a TCP for $236 or LCP for $293 within the Defensive Carry Guns forums, part of the Defensive Carry Discussions category; I know, it's been asked a million times. Both have their good and bad. the guns i am looking at both have stainless slides. For ...
For me it would be the Ruger...
I dont trust anything that starts with a "Tau" and ends in a "rus".
Hands down Ruger LCP. Don't buy Taurus junk. You'll get the horns.
Glock 26 XD9sc
Ruger SR9c Ruger LCP
Between those two, LCP.
Walk quietly and carry a big stick.
Without a doubt, positively, absolutely and indubitably ...the LCP.
Trust in God and keep your powder dry

The best preventative medicine is superior fire power.
Aside from negative responses, if the answer to any question is "Taurus" then the question was stupid.
I have personally seen too many of them fail miserably.
Can my answer be a Glock 19?
Seriously, my first carry gun was an LCP. It now sits in the safe more often than not while my Glock or slim Sig ride on the hip.
(I am assuming that you don't already have the bigger models, that was probably wrong. The LCP still goes into service when I am wearing a bathing suit or formal wear - and it is great for those kinds of uses where size matters)
