Is the Kahr PM9 much easier to conceal than a Glock 26? I have a Glock 27 for winter carry and was looking to upgrade from my Kel-tec P3AT for summer carry. I know the Kel-tec is more concealable than the Kahr, but how does the Kahr compare to the Glock 26/27 frame?

My first CCW was a Glock 27. It was easy for me to conceal and it was my EDC for about 5 years. I bought the Kahr MK9 when that first came out and ended up switching due to the much slimmer profile. It was more comfortable for me to conceal IWB. The weight was about the same as the Glock. I ended up switching to the PM9 a few years later and the much lighter weight made everything much more comfortable. It's my EDC now and I love it's slim slide and weight.

Thanks for the reply. I love my Glock, but it's _almost_ a little too thick for everyday carry. I only have two pairs of jeans loose enough for it! =o).
Sounds like the Kahr might be the answer. Crossbreed has a IWB holster for a crimsontrace laserguard attached too!

- I carry my PM9 with Crimson Trace LaserGuard in a CrossBreed MiniTuck. It's extremely comfortable. You definitely don't need the SuperTuck for a gun the PM9's size.Originally Posted by JrFreak

The PM9 is a nice little 9mm, but IMO it's really to big for the pocket role. Will it conceal better than the 26 yup, not by much but it is smaller and that's a fact. The G26 does hold more rounds so it's a fair trade off IMO. For deep concealment though, the PM9 wins the day. For reliability and firepower the nod goes to the Glock. Again, if it was me I'd keep the P3AT and load it for bear and save for the PM9 at a later date.

Probably a lot cheaper to buy a few more pairs of jeans a bit looser to accommodate the Glock then to buy a brand new (rather pricey) pistols. I'm not sayin...I'm just sayin...

I have the PM9 and do carry in the pocket, it does not fit all pockets, It is a lot thinner than the Glock 1.18 inch verse the Kahr PM9 at .90 inch. The PM9 is a great gun, I have a Glock 19 and it is the same width as the 26 or 27, I will carry the 19 in colder weather when out for a walk or to the range.

I'll agree. Load your P3at with FMJ-FP, or alternate with JHPs. Be happy with it. The PM9 is a bit large and heavy for the pocket role - this from someone who did it for a few years. I own both and carry both often, and yes the PM9 is smaller and much easier to conceal if what you are looking for is a small pocket gun. I can conceal the PM9 in a front pocket but not the G26. But I usually wear cargo or Tac style pants with larger pockets than jeans, or dress pants.
When I leave the home port:
S&W 642 Airweight, Ruger SP 101, Colt Detective Spec., CZ RAMI, Kahr PM9, Kahr CW40, S&W Model 10-7, Glock 30, 19, and 26, Browning Hi Power, CZ82, Colt Commander, Dan Wesson PM7, Ruger LCP
If I had a choice between just those two, it'd be the G-26 hands down and just deal with any issues on size and which is actually easier to conceal. For me, the difference is negligible compared to what you are getting with the Glock.
In my opinion, straight out of the box, the Glock is more reliable, rugged, accurate and more affordable.
At one time I seriously considered the Kahr PM9 and in the end, passed on it after a lot of research.
JMHO YMMV
