Finally found a nice Colt Detective special. Been wanting one of these for quite some time. It's a 3rd generation made somewhere between 1972-73 couldn't let this one go

Awesome find. There's no way I could have let that one pass by either....but I have a weakness for snubnosed revolvers. Are you planning on carrying it any?

Yup I'm a sucker for snubbies to. I currently carry an sp101 but I think I may carry the colt after I shoot it some more. The sp101 is good for hiking with the 3" barrel and loaded with 180gr .357 flat nose rounds, I think the colt will be better for the every day urban jungle.

I cannot get over how smooth the trigger is on this thing.

Great gun! I got a DS a couple years ago and was also impressed by the smoooooth trigger. It has a better trigger than my S & W that had a trigger job done. Enjoy!

Ya gotta love the "Dick Special".

    I have a couple myself.

Great find!!! That could double as a signal mirror in the field, in an emergency...
