Sig P228
Hello everyone! My local fun shop just took in a West German p228 with proof marks the other day and I couldn't resist. I handed the man a couple of dollars to put her on hold for me. Gun appears to have been fired very little, if not at all. There is no wear on the rails that I could see. The serial number dates the gun to 1994. The asking price was $500. Is this a fair price? Any other advice on this firearm would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jeremy

It is a very good price as you described it. With so little wear it's a bargain!

+1. If you're at all disappointed, let me know and I'll make you an offer...
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

I recently picked up a NIB/like new 1993 p228 for 550$ So your deal beats my deal, which I felt was a great deal!
The p228 is a gem. Everyone I take shooting prefer it over all my other 9mms. Enjoy your great find.

Thanks for all of the replies so far! I am more excited than ever knowing that I am getting a good deal on it. Does anyone EDC with this pistol or have you retired it to the safe?

I carry mine in (usually) an UBG Canute or Regulator.
