XDm .45--Anyone Carrying One?
I recently bought a Springfield XDm .45, and so far, I'm impressed. Shoots right to the sights, soft recoil, runs with whatever I feed it, points like my 1911s and holds 14 rounds of .45ACP. I'll not likely carry it a lot, but I'd like the option. Problem is, this gun is TALL. The long grip is going to require a holster with more than the typical 15 degeee butt-forward "FBI" tilt. Any of you guys or gals carrying one concealed? In what?

I carry one. I'm 5'7, 155 lbs. For me it did require more than the normal 15 degrees FBI cant. A little fiddling with my Supertuck and it worked out just fine.

*It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.
*Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.

That thing is huge!
I do not think that I would like to carry one all day long, but if I had to, it should most probably be in an IWB MOB palm in holster.

I carry a Glock 21 SF IWB all day long. Conceals pretty easily since most of it is inside my pants.

I carried an XD-45 Service for a couple of years and it was a very accurate and dependable pistol. It ended up being traded for another 1911. I would really like to get my hands on and actually shoot one of the XDM-45's but they have not shown up in this are yet. We will see what happens when they do.

That is a pretty big gun for CC. It would be a good duty or range gun, but big to carry everyday. Just my two cents, people disagree on my feelings about EDC gun size all the time. I chuckle at some of the firearms people carry on this forum. "Just get a gun belt and a supertuck" is the answer everyone will give you.
Enjoy the XD, they always served me well when I owned them.
The Ruger MKIII 22/45 is the worst handgun in history to take apart, but is one of the funnest to shoot...

And the multitude of weapons a few carry. If you operate a meth lab in the ghetto, or are a bouncer at a Hells Angels bar, you may NEED to carry 3 firearms, and 2 knives, but most people are fine with one.
