Has anyone actually installed sights on a Kahr?

Has anyone actually installed after maket sights on a Kahr? I want to install XS Big dots on my Kahr PM9 and after reading a lot of posts, many say you would be better off leting a smith do it because of the degree of difficulity due to the way the orginals are stuck on. I have watched the XS vid that shows how easy it is, but that not on a Kahr. I read from several that even with a sight pusher it's tough. Soooo....has anyone who is not a smith actually done it on a Kahr?

Nope. Was thinking about trying on my P380 but decided it was a better idea to just pay for my local gunsmith to do it. 30 minutes and $20 later the smith had them on and I was on my way. No frustration, no hassle, no injuries, and no damage to my gun. Well worth the $20 IMO.

I tried to install the Meps on my PM9 but ended up taking it down the road to my friend the Gunsmith.

I've done it. It isnt hard at all with a pusher. If I remember right, you go from right to left.

I have a Kahr CW9. I thought about going to a Hi Viz sight, but the Kahr combat sights work so well (accuracy and rapid acquisition) that I opted to stay with the stock sights.

I have a Kahr K40 coming in a week or so and am facing the same problem. I want to put Williams Fire Sights on it and am reading the same horror stories as well. It sounds like more people have problems with the front sight than the rear...especially getting the originals off. I don't have a sight pusher, so I built a little jig for my drill press vice. I'm thinking a 24 hour soak in PB Blaster before attempting the replacement.

I have installed sights on many 1911's, but also on my Kahr K9. The trick is having the proper tools, to include a padded vise, punch, nylon or brass hammer. Mine weren't difficult at all, but sometimes a little WD-40 or Kroil helps and maybe a few strokes of the file. The cost of the tools is prohibitive unless you plan to do this alot.
