Just took new Glock to the range.

I purchased a new 27 and took it to the range for the 1st time. I have had a 23 for awhile and that was my carry weapon till now. I was very pleased with the 27. I found it to be a very comfortable to shoot. It fit my hands well and I was able to be more accurate with the 27 then the 23. I have a tendency to push my shots off center to the left with the 23. With the 27 I can keep my shots more centered on the target. My finger reaches the trigger more comfortably on the 27.
I also noticed that for some reason I can see the sights better on the 27. I know it's about a half inch shorter than the 23 but that shouldn't make that much of a difference. I have factory sights on both but will probably put night sights on the 27 soon.
I am looking forward to continued practice with the 27 and going to some IDPA events.

Crazy at it may seem, but I too am as accurate with my 27 as my 19, 22, or 23. It doesn't make sense with the shorter barrel and sight radius.

Same for me and my G26/G19-that's why I call them "mini service pistols" opposed to subcompacts (which oftentimes indicates some level of...detraction in both size and performance from thier bigger siblings). I think that for me part of the reason why is that the grip "hump" is higher in the grip on the G26 and that fills my hand a bit better, the rest is the platform itself.

Glad it's working out so well. It's nice to have a firearm meet & exceed expectations.

It's better to have it when you need it then need it and dont have it.

Great choice. My 27 gets most of my off-duty carry time. Although, I'm surprised that your trigger finger reaches the trigger better on the 27 than the 23. The distance is the same.

It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!

It doesn't feel that way. Now I have to go home and put them side by side. The distance from where my thumb wraps around behind the gun to where my finger reaches the trigger feels different. After I put them side by side I will post back here. Maybe it is in my grip.

Thanks, I just looked up those grips. I didn't want to go with any of the extensions for the simple reason that I didn't want to increase the size of the gun because of concealability. These look like a good idea. My question would be do they catch your shirt you have over it and pull on it? If not, I may order a set.
