My first post here - and my new purchase.

A friend of mine called me to tell me he found one of the firearms I was looking for to buy, and it was a steal he thought. I jumped in my car and made my way to the gun store to buy it before someone else might find it. I have been looking for a S&W 351 PD for awhile now, hard to find, and this one was priced to sell! I know it is not much of a caliber for self defense, but it will fit the bill for what I want it for.

    # J-frame platform; Chief's special
    # Caliber: .22WMR
    # Capacity: 7 Rounds
    # Action: Revolver DA/SA
    # Front Sight: Hi-Vis fiber optic
    # Rear Sight: Deep cut U-shaped notch
    # Price: MSRP $758 but on Gunbroker.com they sell for $540-$600

    I bought it for $349!

Glad you are pleased with your find!

Just out of curiousity, what exactly do you have planned for a .22 snubby revolver? I know .22 rounds are great for plinking at cans or the occasional hyper-aggressive squirrel...but with a snubby?

Is your intent to give the squirrels and cans a fighting chance by using a J-frame snubby?

    Welcome to the forum!

That's a good deal on that revolver..I've considered one myself to slip in the pocket when my bride & I go for walks in the evening; 2 legged threats are not an issue, but 4-legged ones can be, and a nice, light revolver like this would fit the bill.

It's a very light handgun with very little recoil, it will make a perfect training weapon for my wife. She we be able to go to the range and shoot a couple hundred rounds with it and not get tired of the recoil. It will be a perfect match for her 340PD.
