    Smith and Wesson Rebate

I just made my M&P purchase. A 40 cal compact. Smith is currently having a rebate on the M&Ps. You can get either 50 bucks back or 2 free magazine.

I originally thought to go with the 50 bucks. But I see on the s&W webpage that the magazines are 41.00 each!!!

What would you go with? Is there any place to get the magazines cheaper?

The best price I have found so far is this:

    http://www.botachtactical.com/smwempma.html

but I don't know if they offer C mags but you might call and ask...

Honestly if your like me and get the $ your just going to blow it in an afternoon and you won't even know it was there (thats the bad thing about rebates, delayed and easy to blow), but the mags should last the life of the gun.. GET THE MAGS!!!!

Get the mags, I did. I just got mine. It took 14 weeks. It's a long wait. I think the money comes sooner. It's nice when you go shooting to have the extra mags. Another option that I wish I did was get the full size mags . ( I have the compact) then get those xgrips and have 2 full size mags for home defense.

I too would get the mags. You never know, the laws may change and restrict mag capacity to 10 rounds. If that happens, those mags will be worth a lot more than $41.00 bucks.

Its odd, when I bought my M&P, the offer was $50.00 AND two free mags. I guess M&P's are selling pretty well these days.

I'm getting the mags. I'd much rather have two extra mags than $50.

Crap, when I bought mine in Oct. 2009, (about 2-3 months after my brother and nephew), (they got free stuff) S&W was not offering anything.

    GET THE MAGSSS!!!

Oh yeah, I'd go for 2 $41.00 mags over just $50 any day.

Might be a good time to consider the M&P right now.....hhmmmmmm
