I'm very happy with my XD45C. Perfect trigger (w/trigger job), ergonomics and incredible CS and custom shop!

    Glock 30 or 36.

Before I went to the Gun Store I knew I either wanted a G30 or an XD45C. I think they are both good quality weapons. My decision was made as soon as I picked up each gun and held it. I have large hands and the XD45 fit like a glove. With the Glock I had to search for the trigger. Lay whatever weapons you are trying to decide between on the counter, close your eyes and reach for them one at a time. The one that jumps into your hand is the one you want.

Not yet, but I was able to handle both the G30 and the XD45c at the Concord gun show this weekend. Between the two, I like the G30 better. The XD45c is slightly bigger and seems bulkier. I'd still like to compare against a M&P 45 Compact and a Sig Sauer P250 Compact. The P250 Compact is about the same dimension as the XD45c so I suspect it may be too bulky as well.

Mmmmm I want that thing BAD!

I don't think you can go wrong with either G30 or XD45c. I went through this exact same scenario. I just happened to choose G30, though I doubt I'd be dissapointed with an XD45. I've shot a XD9 and it didn't do much for me, though 9mm in general doesn't do much for me. I don't dislike 9mm, I just like .45 more :)

G30 or G30SF or M&P45. Handle them and pick the one you like best.

Unless you're absolutely set on a hi-cap, try out a Kahr CW45 (6+1) before you make your move. I've had dozens of carry guns, and the CW45 is my hands-down favorite. Lightweight and compact, with controllable .45ACP horsepower and a great feel.

    Regards,
    Jim
