Thumbs up Ruger Customer Service comes through again!

Took both our LCPs to the range this past weekend. When cleaning mine, I noticed that the recoil spring guide rod head was flattened a bit around the edges. I contacted Ruger via their website, and got a quick reply - this is apparently normal wear.

I called Ruger today, and asked if I should replace the guide rod. They said no, it would continue to function properly - but they sent me a new one anyway, for free! Now, the part only costs $2, and I offered to pay for it, but they just sent it.

So, once again, another really good example of Ruger's service.

They are fantastic. I bought a used 10-22 years ago. I was getting ready to shoot the Chevy Truck Sportsman Team Challenge and was having issues with my magazines. A week before the match I called them and we pretty much determined that it was the crappy lube on the cheap Russian ammo I was practicing with. But just in case they sent me three new magazines (2nd day) no charge!
I don't think customer service gets any better than Ruger!

Is ruger a life time warranty gun? My father is looking at an lcp for a pocket gun and if they're always this good with cs that would definitely be a factor in his decision.

They offer no warranty but they have a good rep for taking care of their customers. Great to hear 10thmtn!

If Ruger made it, they will take care of it, usually at no charge, including shipping.

I had a Ruger M77 Mk II bolt rifle in .223 - the top round in the box mag would pop out. They sent me a new mag spring - free. Problem solved.

I have an older 10/22 that was a gift. It started not wanting to feed the top round in the rotary mag. They sent me a few new mags - free. When that didn't solve the issue, they brought the gun in, and fixed it all up. Free. It's now like new.

My wife has an early production LCP. The head of the takedown pin sheared off while firing (the pistol still fired fine). Ruger took it back, and rebuilt the pistol - only the frame and barrel are original. All other parts are new. Free.

Much as I love my Glocks, I own (and have owned) more Rugers than any other brand. If they come out with a PM9-sized pistol in 9mm, I will be all over it. Service like this means that Ruger is on the top of my shopping list. I'm eyeing a LCR, but it's probably too big for suit pants pockets.

I was the second owner of an SP101 that I found to have problems with accuracy.

I sent it back to them and they re-barreled it free of charge. That says all I need to know about their customer service, and I recommend them highly and without reservation.

Ruger generally has some of the best customer service out there---HK has some of the worst (despite that I own 5 HK pistols).
