ONE more handgun....and that's it !
I want an SP101 in a DAO 2.25" barrel 357 Mag ...AND I'm DONE. I have no interest in small 380's, hide-out derringers or anything else to add to the existing collection. I have 2 Colt 1911's(a Series 70 Gov't and an Officer's Model). I have my Glocks from the old job(a G19 and G26). My son(on my wife's permit technically)purchased a S&W Model 22, 22LR pistol. That covers the ONLY other category handgun I need. The Ruger will bring me back to the revolver-world I left when I sold my old duty Smith(a 3" Model 64 RB)when the job went Glock. I'm getting to the point in life that I want what I'll use(carry)NOT to own for the sake of owning. God Bless the collectors, but I have neither the time, patience or extra $$ to go that route. It's time to be practical...fill the last void and spend money on ammo and spare parts! Any other older guys in agreement? Just wondering?

I don't think you have to be "older" to understand this. I am not a collector. I have bought a fair number of handgun, but the ones I no longer own were failures. I have kept the ones that work for me. Sure, we would all like to have the latest whizbang to play with, but in reality it is not necessary. I have what I need and I'm happy with that.
Of course, if something better comes along......

Clearly you are upset by the notion...I bet something will catch your eye that you'd rather have than a few greenbacks, one day :)

Got my SP101 last night and it's great. Can't say it will be my last purchase though, I said that about 4-5 guns ago when I had a "safe"cleaning. I sold 4, traded 1, and bought 3. So much for cleaning out the safe.

The only reason that I am done FOR NOW is because things are tight. Mortgage, 2 car notes, basic bills and too much credit card debt keep me from buying what I WANT to buy. I still make little purchases here and there but I won't pony up the 4 bills I'll need for a new G19 or 17 or 26, maybe a 34....aaaaaaaaahhhhhh I'll wait til I have he cash and then decide.

It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!
Still can't believe what happened on 11/06/12! Disgusted and disappointed!

I've got the money, just don't know of anything I need. A dozen handguns is probably enough. I go mostly on the basis of need not want.
