    So I shot a Glock 27 and...

And I'm sold on it,I'm going to my LGS tuesday to put one on layaway. I have to say I didn't think the G27 recoil was bad at all. To me it felt like a G19 with +P+ 9mm ammo.

I shot Remington 165gr and 180gr FMJ ammo. I shot with and without the magazine extensions and found it very controllable either way,I liked how it sits lower in my hand with the standard magazine and the one with the GAP floorplate. I think I'll leave one magazine stock and add a gap floorplate to the other, and get a G23 mag with a sleeve for HD/back up.

I also want to add night sights and can't decide between the XS 24/7 set up or the three dot trijicon orange rear/green front ones. Which do you guys think is faster for target acquisition?
Thanks for all the help so far you guys here are great,I love you all.

XS is by far faster. Better can be debated, but they are faster.

Personally I favor Green Front/Yellow Rear night sights.

Congrats on the Glock. I'm glad it will work for you.

Glad that you like the Glock. I have Trijicon green front/yellow rear and green front/green rear; I prefer the green/yellow. IMO the green/yellow are much faster.

The XS sights are simply the best, IMHO for a carry gun. If you learn to use them, you can shoot long distance and be fairly accurate, but I think you will be happy with them. You can also get a nice .357sig conversion barrel for your G27. Great round too. Good luck with it, good choice.

Glad you finally got on the Glock wagon, I shot a 27 a couple of years ago and like u i was hooked, I said to myself how can I be just as accurate with th G27 as I am with the G22 and after that I just had to have one. Ordered the CBST and have never looked back you will love yours. By the way I just left the original sights on mine and they IMOPO are great, I have never liked night sights because for one they give your location away to the bad guy and 2 once the first shot is placed they are worthless with your night vision, I carry a surefire flashlight for night work. Once again this is my opinion only.

I have Trijicons on both of my Glocks (all green)...they work fine for me.

Youve got a great plan there. I think youll find the 27 is a better CCW with the plain 9 round mag. I like the XS sights better myself.

The 27 is a great gun. I love how accurate it is for a small gun and the recoil is very manageable. I am thinking of putting night sights on it so I appreciate the reviews here.

I wouldn't even bother getting the mag sleeve for the G23 mags. All it will do is pinch your pinky when reloading in a hurry. The mags will still sit firmly in your pistol. Your pinky finger will just sit a little further back than the rest of your fingers. I run a G30 with G21 mags for reloads and I don't use a mag sleeve. I have no problems with the way it feels or with the mag being loose in the grip.

The G27 is on my short list.. I like the idea of being able to swap to a .357 sig, or 9mm barrel and mag down the road. I also like the idea of being able to use the larger capacity mags too.
