I'm not a fan of truck guns; but, if I was, I'd want something less valuable and easier on the ears.

When I think of 'truck gun', I think of something that I'll want quick access to, which means I probably won't be fooling with ear protection, and I don't think you have many moose or brown bear up in PA?

I appreciate your effort in justification. How about "I've always wanted a S&W 500 Magnum"? Then sweet! Go get it!

If by "truck gun" you mean you are going to put wheels on it and tow it behind a truck, it's perfect!

Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.

Are you going to hunt trucks with it?

hahaha, Well it is just an excuse (truck gun) cuz I can't carry a 10.5" barrel revolver. It would be primaraly a play toy I guess. how shootable are they?? Closest thing I could think to compare is a short barrel shotgun with pistol grips?? is that close?

I have no desire to try one. Pain hurts me.

Ammo is really expensive, for a range toy.

I can see getting one for bear defense. Otherwise, I'll pass...

    Have you fired one before?

I have. ONE(1) round was enough to convince me NOT to fire a SECOND round.

    Just saying.

I managed five rounds. My buddy offered me another five and I said 'No thanks'.

They're gorgeous, I wouldn't leave one in my truck for someone to steal. Ammo is expensive, recoil is harsh but if you're a hunter or preparing for a zombie apocalypse but all means get one.

Where does it end? A 20mm handgun? 30 mm? Now we're talking.

It would be just fun to have! I am not bothered by recoil (have shot 00 buck out of my shotgun with a pistol grip one handed) I figure the 500 will be a little worse. I would probably do some deer hunting with it if anything.

Yep!.... But seriously, I too would like to have one. Maybe a 460 - not sure. The only reason I would like one is solely for the novility of it.
It is a visually stunning revolver and perhaps one day in the future it may be discontiued and comand a hefty price.
Personally, I like unique things. raspberry LCP for example. S&W 22's ona 38 frame etc. I am odd and frankly I like being that way
