Just bought a new Glock 19 Gen 3
FOR MY MOM!
Her birthday is coming up and I can't wait to hand it over to her! She got her CC lisence last month and I can think of no better gift then giving her the gun that made her want to get the lisence in the first place.
Nothing says "I LOVE YOU" like a new piece of heat!

excellent choice, hope it fits her hand well. i have smaller hands and had to do a grip reduction on my 26 to make it feel better in hand. still prefer the stock grip of my XD9 though.

Thanks. She had a run of my Bersa Thunder, Glock 26, my cousin's Glock 19, HK 2000, Hk USP, and Glock 23. She fell in love with the Glock 19.

Next time have your Mommy try some real guns instead of plastic tinker toys.
Why not have Mommy try a 1911, P-35, Sig 226, or other metal framed handgun, or even a revolver. As much as I try to get with the times I find that guns should be made of metal and not the handle of my toothbrush.

If it makes you feel better, the Bersa was metal

GlockJS, nice gift! Great choice, too. I prefer my carry pistols made from toothbrushes over soup cans although sometimes I get nostalgic, like today, and I'll strap on a lead weight and reminisce about the good old days before telephones, electric lights and those fancy flying machines up in the sky. Makes me appreciate how wonderful the modern toothbrush really is.

Awesome gift!! I wish you were my kid, I could use a 3rd generation 19. I have a 2nd genertation, but the 3rd feels better in my hand. Good job, I'm sure that she will be very pleased.

It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!
Still can't believe what happened on 11/06/12! Disgusted and disappointed!

While I confess that holding poly pistols does remind me of a waterpistol, You cab bet your life that the G19 will go bang when the trigger is pulled; no special mags, no polished ramp, no extractor tuning needed.
I think mom will be happy, and that's what really counts.
