    Dis-assemble/re-assemble your carry gun blindfolded?

Well, I was bored tonight watching TV with my wife, "Dating In The Dark" somehow didn't keep me spellbound, and thought I'd give it a whirl with my PCR. I didn't use a blindfold, just kept my eyes shut. Scouts honor!

Removed the magazine, slide release, slide, barrel, and recoil spring/guide rod. Then re-assembled. It was kind of fun, and relatviely easy, even with the CZ75 design which requires you to move the slide back a bit until you line up the frame and slide line marks, that you can't see with your eyes shut, so you can push out the slide release. I bet a Glock would be a cinch.

Anyone else ever try this with your carry piece? Kind of makes always hearing about people being able to do this in books and movies not so impressive.

Are you kidding me? It's a Glock!!!!! Of course it can be taken down in the dark...it's what we do on the 'dark side'.

And to the very last piece by the way.........watch those spring cups!
Oh! Were you just talking about field stripping.....or detail stripping?

My Glock reassembles itself when left on a table unattended for more than 2 seconds. Don't all guns do that?

I've taken my XD45 down for cleaning without looking and my Thunder .380, both are pretty easy and require little to strip.
My 1911 is a different matter. I'm still watching closely when I tear down and reassemble that one.

I haven't tried, but I bet Sigs would be easy as well. I will have to give that a try on tv drama reruns my wife insists upon watching (again).

I just change the channel and tell the wife to watch her show in the bedroom.

    Dis-assemble/re-assemble your carry gun blindfolded?
No, witness marks are needed to disassemble and real helpful to reassemble, but that's OK... I doubt I'll do much shooting while blindfolded.

You guys have some jokes! Lmao. In response, we used to have a sort of olympics dY in the Marines where dissasembly and reasembly of the m16a2 was done in sort of a relay race competition. It was fun, and taught a vital skill.
