    S&W 642 New Unbelievable Deal

I went to buy a 442/642 at Cabellas, S&W has a $50 mail-in rebate, Cabellas has a cash card and when you spend $500 or more you get $150 put on the card to spend in the store.

So new 642 and box of 50 rounds of 38sp came to $500, minus the $50 from S&W, the the $150 cash card from Cabellas, the 642 cost $300.

I am anxious to shoot the 642, I will post the first range trip.

Congrats!!! You've purchased one of the most versatile guns to carry. They take a little getting used to in order to become proficient, but it doesn't take too long if you focus on it.

I've been debating the same thing. I don't own any revolvers, but a local gun store has some really good deals on S&W guns right now ($50 rebate + $50 store credit).

    S&W 642, 637 or 638 for $350. Less the rebate and store credit = $250

This is the only center fire revolver I own right now, I carried the 642 all day today in a Uncle Mike's size 3 pocket holster and it was fine in jean I had on which are the smallest pockets of all my jeans.
