    Wife's new Purchase M & P

Very happy my wife not only received her permit but went to the store and asked plenty of questions and shot a variety of guns. She narrowed it down to the Walther PPS or M & P 9c, I think the Walther was in the lead until the salesman changed out the back strap from a med to a small. And that made all the difference and the deal was done. S & W was also running a special $50 rebate or 2 magazines, she's getting the 2 magazine. I am a Glock fan myself but I really do like the M & P. Special shout out thanks to Limatunes for your post and videos.

Beautiful. I think that in many ways a larger gun like this is easier to manipulate.

What kind of holster plan is she going with?

Sharp lookin'. Is the safety an option on all M&Ps? I personally would opt out of that one, but everyone has what they are used to.

She did go with the safety option, I don't the answer about all M & P's. Holsters she went with a Fobus for OWB and Done Hume for IWB and she will also purse carry. She bought a UpULA magazine loader, if you never tried one the are great! And some Speer LE Gold Dot

Great choice! I carry a 9c daily, and have the full size to keep it from getting lonely at home. Right now I'm thinking about adding an M&P 15 to the family.

Those Uplas are so nice to save the nails! You could get her a nice gift of extra mags and some gel padded shooting gloves.

The interchangeable backstraps are indeed an answer to the problem of allowing a model to fit more hands. I tried the Gen 4 G22 with all 3 sizes and found the smallest to fit best. Great improvement, even though some will complain about it forever.

Hope the wife fires many happy rounds through her new pistola.

Just so you know your wife can order one full size 17 round magazine and it will fit in the compact and another compact or two of the full size.. they are nice for range shooting and home defense.

I love M&Ps. Have a full size in .40. The darn thing is shoots like a 9mm and scary accurate at 30ft.
Remember as a rule of thumb in defensive carry...your intention is always to STOP....not to hurt, however; in a gun fight, its either me or them.....and Im sure as hell that it will NOT be me.

This is what I carry open on a daily basis and love it. Shoots great -- very accurate and nice trigger. ;-)
