I do not think shooting the LCR in 357 is a big deal...
Here is a video of me doing exactly that - please note the lack of blood and dislodged digits.
I shot my LCR 357 Friday. The grip makes 125G 357 ammo easy to control and be accurate with. 158G ammo is a bear in 38 special, you should use 135G or less. I had no problems with 100 rounds through the 357 LCR but, don't get me wrong it lets you know you are shooting a minni canon. This is not a gun I will take to the Range and shoot 300 rounds a weekend. I could do this with my SP101 or my Taurus 617, they have a little more meat behind them.
Thanks for the range report. Glad all worked out well for you. Enjoy your new baby.

OK I was able to try my LCR in 357 today and gotta say I love it!!shot 1 box of my carry ammo, magtech guardian gold 125gr and some hornandy critical defense ammo, the recoil is not bad at all, the grips absorbs most of it, the only thing i don't like is how the shavings ( i think is what you call it) keeps hitting me in the face, I think its coming out on the side of the cylinder, but with 38 specials it was a piece of cake, very manageable recoil, I just have to practice with 38spcls and maybe throw in a couple of 357mag every now and again. There was another guy that i know on the other side where i was on the video, and he said it sounded like a canon becs of the echoes hehehe..here is a small vid..

If those were the .357 loads in the video, the recoil doesn't look to bad. Those particles you are feeling is probably unburned powder escaping from the sides of the cylinder.
Nice gun. Enjoy.

A friend of mine got the exact same gun and we went to an outdoor range and went shooting. When he was standing next to me, I could FEEL the air blast coming past me. It was totally different feeling when he shot 38 specials out of it. Should be a good gun for you.
I personally prefer steel for magnum loads, but the LCR is a good looking revolver and would be great for carry. Very nice.
Very nice and will eventually get one. You cant beat the weight but it is definitely NOT an all day range gun. I love the .357 round.

Nice weapon, my local Gun store got one in today while I was filling out paper work. Congrats on the new EDC

I wanna get my lady a pink one. Wonder if I can spray-paint it!?
A CCW is like a parachute; if you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.
The LCR looks very attractive........ but I don't think I would enjoy shooting .357 mags out of it. Just gotta be painful.

I got a LCR in 38spl. about a month ago it is a fantastic carry. I can only imagine what a hoss it would be in 357mag. I also have a S&W 642 that I have carried for about 5 years I just rotate carrying them every few days.
