Picked Up A New EDC Today: M&P 9c

Ordered a new M&P Compact in 9mm last week and picked it up today. I was about to order a new Supertuck but messing around with an extra ST I had for a 1911, I was able to fit the M&P with a little heat and remoulding. I actually fits the M&P better than it did the 1911... go figure! Hey it saved me 80 bucks :)

I'm thinking about getting the Apex sear and striker block kit for it.
I'll decide after I brake her in a bit at the range tomorrow.

Just returned from the range and the little M&P was perfect. Shot 100rds of WWB 115gr FMJ's and couldn't be happier with the pistols performance. Next pay day I'll run some SD ammo through her and if it eats the HP's... I'll add it to the rotation.

Apex sear and striker are well worth it IMHO. You can save $ by just getting the sear and polishing the strike block on your own. Just match the striker block angle to the engagement angle of the metal piece that pushes it up...make sure not to take any material off that will shorten the striker block. You can find pictures online of what it should look like.

I thought about getting a M&P to match up with my Glock 26. About the same size and the M&P comes with a way to put a light on it. Looks good to me.

My full size M&P was bought back in 08. It was the Massachusetts compliant model with the 10 lb trigger and 10 round mags (got a good deal). Of course the accuracy was... well there was none! I sent it to S&W for there performance center sear and a fluff & buff. Everyone that's shot this pistol said the trigger was better than any M&P they have shot. What I thought was a curse on the MA trigger was actually a blessing. The PC sear along with the MA trigger bar and springs gave my M&P a nice trigger reset. I'm going to install the Apex sear and there USB kit on my new M&Pc... seems well worth the money. I think I had about $175 for the S&W service with shipping on my full size.

Congrats nice Pistol. I really like the M&P, it looks like a solid carry piece.

Congrats on the new pistola, and in YOUR man cave, any gun would look good.
I know that you've posted pics of the 'cave' before and it's a place any man could call home.
