I said I would give a range report once I got around to shooting my new Glock 20SF. Today I finally had that chance. I purchased 100 rounds of Bitterroot 180 grain FMJ and some 200 grain Hornady XTP JHPs. I set up a couple paper plate targets at 10 yards and fired off the first round. At first I was shooting kind of high on the plate so I brought the gun lower and that seemed to center my shots a little better. I fired off a total of 115 rounds (100 FMJs and one magazine of JHPs), and the gun functioned flawlessly. I had a few misses but most of my shots were on the plates.
As for recoil, it is very manageable. I did notice a difference in the level of recoil between the 180 and 200 grain rounds but both were very much fun to shoot, and I think I'll hang onto this Glock 20SF for a long time to come!
