I voted Kahr because of adjustable sights and overall quality, and DAO as a pocket pistol. The Sig is excellent quality , but I dont like SAO in a pocket, just a personal thing. The best value would be the kel-tec.

I had a P3-AT and a LCP, not happy with either. Also 380 is hard to find and limited in variety. I ended up with a KAHR MK9 Elite stainless with night sights. If I was forced to carry 380 it would be a KAHR or Sig 232 (not 238)

I have both the Kel-Tec P3-AT and the Sig P238, both have been extremely reliable but as far as accuracy and comfort when shooting the Sig wins hands down.

Hands down the Ruger LCP is the best .380 ACP pocket handgun since it is the most cost effective, reliable and can fit in any pants or jacket pocket. I don't own one but it was one of my two options before I chose to purchase the S&W 442 snub nose revolver for pocket carry (caliber stopping power was the deciding factor).

Of those on the list I have heard great things about some of them, but I only have the KelTec P-3AT...it's been a great little pistol for me.

The Rohrbaugh also comes in a .380 model.

The Seecamp was mentioned because it is so much smaller than the others.

I saw no cost restrictions, just a "best" qualifier.

"The Rohrbaugh also comes in a .380 model."

New one on me. I guess I'm seriously "out of date" or behind the times on that one.

    Much appreciated.

Yepper...I had a little Seecamp the first year they were out. Larry Seecamp did an action job on mine. Phenomenal little handgun. The .380 version is fetching big bucks these days.

You didn't list it, but I'd pick a Walther PPK/S first and a SIG P232 second.

IMO and in order of quality. Those on the same line I consider equal in just about every detail. YOMV

    * = Owned at one time, but no longer in inventory.
** = Owned and still have.

    1. Interarms WaltherPPK**, Sig P232*, Beretta Cheetah*
    2. Seacamp .380, NAA Guardian 380S
    3. Sig P238**, Colt Government .380* not the Mustang/Pony, Kahr P380.
    4. Ruger LCP**, Diamond Back .380**
    5. Kel-Tech P3AT only due to fit and finish.
    6. Llama .380 1911 government style. *
    7. Bersa Thunder *
    8. Last in the pack. The Grendal P10 ? I think that was the model.*!

I'm sure I've missed a couple, but the ones listed are pistols I've either owned, or considered owning. IMO, the best bang for the buck is the LCP, Kel-Tec and the Bersa.
The top three lines are what I would consider the best designs and quality in the .380 caliber.

    GBK

Update: IMO the Rohrbaugh is an awesome pistol from what I can tell from pics and reviews, but without checking one out in person and due to the release date, I'll withhold my opinion until it's had some time to prove it's overall performance out in the field. But, from what appears to be top shelf craftsmanship, it gets a 10 from me. For the cash though, way to much for a .380 pocket pistol. The nine is a different story.

I really like the Kahr P380 after the first 300 rounds so far, seems to be broken in nicely and the trigger is very smooth. Carrying in a Desantis Superfly.

I don't think you can go wrong with a Bersa Thunder .380. I've got one, I've put just over 500 rounds through it now and besides some jams, which I can now assure were caused by cheapo range ammo, it's eaten every other round I've put through it. It slips into any pocket without issue, it is light for a metal framed pistol and is pretty accurate right out of the box. for $250 you can't beat it, imo.

Good luck with what ever chioce you make.

Kahr P380 by far. Due to low weight, high quality, real sights (night sights optional), manual lock back, lock back on empty, and smooth DAO trigger.

I love my Taurus TCP. Great little gun and a couple of features the LCP doesn't have.
