I just picked up one today . It's seems to be a nice ultra compact 1911. I like it because it's a steel frame not aluminum that everyone else has gone with. I don't like the way the light frames shoot. I'm use to carrying a semi-compact Baby Eagle so this lighter than that but still a steel frame like my baby . If anyone else has one of these pistols , I would like your input or opinions on it , Thanks

Without pictures, worthless this thread is.
The number of people killed because they didn't have "enough gun" is dwarfed by those who had none at all. Get a gun you will always carry, and add more capability as you grow.
I have recently bought me this Titan Xtreme 45ACP FX Model. OMG! Why did I spend so much on a Kimber Ultra carry? My answer, I was desperate for a nameed- brand 45acp 1911. I met my Baby now she is from the Philippines, and she is a bit accustomed to the American tradition. I am so in love with her, in fact she's going to marry my Kimber, and shoot a lot of 45 babies out of her bull-barrel!
Welcome to the club. Mine required some break-in, but it's running like a swiss watch now.

There are several "standard" "sizes" of 1911 pistols, the result of combining 5 barrel lengths and 2 frame sizes:
Long Slide - 6" barrel with a full sized frame (8+1 round capacity)
Full Sized - 5" barrel with a full sized frame
Commander - 4.25" barrel with a reduced-capacity frame (7+1 rounds)
Officer - 3.5" barrel with 7+1 frame
Defender - 3" barrel with 7+1 frame (barrel will something slightly longer, like 3.13", 3.16", etc.)
Often you'll find the names identified by size, i.e.:
Full Size (FS) - 5" w/ 8+1
Mid-sized (MS) - 4.25" w/ 8+1
Compact-sized (CS) - 3.5" w/ 7+1
Micro - 3" w/ 7+1
There are variations out there, but these seem to be the most common combinations. Hope this helps someone...
I want to purchase a ATI Titan in the near future. When you look at ATI titans online, some will have 5 round capicity and others have 7 round capacity. Is the magazine the only difference?
