    Glock generation question

    I have a G27 I bought used and I'm getting ready to sell it. I want to know what generation it is. It looks like my newer Gen 3 G19 but it doesn't have a rail. Any help would be great.

    I believe the sub-compacts don't have a rail, does it have finger grooves and are they smooth?

    The grip/finger grooves are identical to my 3rd gen G19.

    The gen 3 G27 does not have a rail, but it has fingergrooves with checkering in-between the grooves. Following link shows some data about serial numbers and generations:
