Was looking thru Rugers selection of 44 specials, and saw they make a polished stainless 3 inch Vaquero. My heart almost stopped beating! All I can think about now is the thousands of 240-315 grain 44 bullets in my basement. Gonna try and find one at Court Days festival in Mt Sterling Ky next week. If not gonna go to Buds in Lexington and annie up the money! I can't think of a more perfect combo of gun and cartridge for SD for this ole boy! So if any of y'all see a guy in a Stetson runnin from table to table there, stay outa my way! I'm on a mission. Ye Ha! Gonna get it, gonna get it! Ain't nothin stored my blood like this since my 4th weddin night!
Of course, you all should know that I am gun fickle, but for right now, Ya Hooey!
And of course on a more serious note, if ya do see a half crazed cowboy there, please come up and introduce yourself. It would be great to meet someone on this forum. Plus, y'all could help me look!
Good luck hope you find it!

You and me would get along just fine pardner. Any man in a Stetson packin a Vaquero is a friend of mine. Ive been wantin a Vaquero for some time, but right now all my dough is goin in a board fence Im buildin down at the horse barn. Ill get that Ruger someday. Right now Ill just keep carryin my Single Six in .22 mag.

I haven't seen one but it sounds pretty sweet to me. I am kicking around the idea of picking up a 5.5" Blackhawk 44 Spl myself just because I don't have one and I want one. Here's hoping you get your Vaquero Glockman10mm.Was looking thru Rugers selection of 44 specials, and saw they make a polished stainless 3 inch Vaquero.
Be reasonable. See things my way.
Just a word of caution. If this is a new Vaquero don't load it hot. Unlike the old "tank" Vaqueros, this one won't stand up to anything really heavy. I do like mine with a mid-range .44 special load and a 200 grain bullet.
I read an article where Brian Pierce did a review of the new smaller framed BH, and he said it was plenty sturdy for the hot loads, but I don't know if the Vaqureo uses this same frame. Anyway, I was planning on keeping the loads in the mid range and letting that big ole heavy bullet do the work.
Glockman, good luck in your search. If you come up dry, slide down to Nashville and head west on I-40 to Flagstaff. Then venture into the Pistol Parlor over on 7th Ave... Gary Reeder's creations will have you nearly sacrificing your Stetson!

.44 special Vaqueros? That would be very nice! But I am surprised because Ruger’s site shows only .357 and .45 Colt.

The .44 special Vaqueros may be a special item with a particular distributor. The .44 spcl Blackhawk was an exclusive for Lipseys. Ruger won't usually list specials on their website.
I suspect that it should be right up your alley and a hoot to boot.
