Pics of my refinished P229 Elite and a review of the refinisher

    Here is the before picture.

    and the after picture.

and a shot with the Milt Sparks VMII.

I purchased the gun and holster off the forum here and the grips off e-bay after a member here sent me a link to them (thank you Mustang Pa Pa).
The gun started off as a 2007 Sig P229 Elite Dark with the factory plastic grips. The slide and frame had some carry wear marks and I love the look of the stainless gun but didn't want the extra weight. So off it went to OregonShooter of.
The work was completed in less than a week. I had the gun back less than two weeks from the time I shipped it to him. He also e-mailed me along the way letting me know what stages it was in and with an expected finish date.
The finish is superb and I have yet to find any blemishes in it. Mr. Lynch originally quoted me the one color price even though I requested the finish be done in two different colors. Honorably he only invoiced me for what he quoted (plus the shipping insurance I requested).
The slide and frame are Stainless Satin and the controls, barrel and two magazines were done in Black Satin.
I only have one negative thing to say about my experience with cerakoter.com and that is the package arrived to me and inside was the padded case I shipped the gun and magazines in but inside the case the two magazines and the gun had rattled around and bumped into each other. Luckily the rub marks were only superficial and came right out with a little buffing. I only wish he had wrapped the gun and mags in bubble wrap before puttign them int he case.
I would not hesitate to send any of my firearms back to cerakoter.com though and he has earned a customer for life through this transaction.

Was it only $140 ? That sure is a super price.

Less than half of what it costs to send a handgun to Robar to get refinished.

    Such a good deal!

All Sig pistols look a lot better with a nice set of wood grip on them. That is a huge improvement over the factory plastic grip.

I upgraded the grips on my Sig with a set of Coco Bolo grips from Hogue:

That is amazing how many color variations they have for Cerakote. Many of them are most impressive.

I'm glad that you did not choose the Lollipop Purple color for the finish for your gun. That is the only color they offer that I don't really care for:

The new pistola's look is very nice, but actually, both pics (before and after) look good to me.
