    Glock Safety

Much has been said regarding the safety of Glock pistols. Some warrented and some not. I credit the simplicity of Glock's for getting my wife involved in firearms. During our 23 year marriage, she never wanted anything to do with my guns. Almost 2 years ago, she picked my beloved Glock 23 and said, "this is mine".

Long story short, since I travel alot, she decided she needed a gun to protect her life when I am not home. SHE selected Glock for her protection. We own many guns, but a Glock pistol will always be close to my wife in the house and for lawful carry.

If there was ever any doubt obout the safety of a Glock, watch this 7 minute video.

No firearm is any more or less "safe" than the person manipulating it.
Battle Plan (n) - a list of things that aren't going to happen if you are attacked.
Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.

The safety is the distance between the ears. Glad to hear your wife has taken responsibility for her safety. The 23 is a nice firearm, I've got a 27 myself and am looking forward to picking up a 23 not too far down the road to compliment it. Does her taking yours mean you get to go firearm shopping now?

I would love to see that done to any other handgun and see what happens.

And here is the rest of the story. She has the "bug" bad. Meaning she takes me gun shopping. For example, last week, I was feeling poor, and she took me out of the house. We ended up at our favorite gun store, she walked right up to the S&W counter and said, "I want a M&P-9 with night sites, what ya got"? She walked out with what she wanted and I got my Glock 23 back.

It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!

I kind of had this feeling.......that I'd seen it before. I have. Despite it all, you won't necessarily convert any of the Glock haters nor further the Glocksters in the world in their true beliefs. There's a reason for everything, and for everything a reason. Nobody actually 'speaks to Glock'. Glock speaks to them. Best combat pistol on the market now (and I'll say my ten John Brownings quickly in respect).
I feel safe knowing my wife has a Glock next to her when I'm away as well. She's rather proficient with them (all of them). Safety is all between the ears, and I trust mine as well as I trust my wife's. Nobody actually needs to see a torture test done by someone else to prove anything. Our faith provides everything we need to know. For those in the know.....Glock on!

    Only 10??
I would not mind whatever my Wife chose if she would just get more involved in her defense. When I went shopping for a pistol for the first time about a year ago I was told to get a Glock. Specifically in 10mm to be exact.
I probably held about 75 pistols in my hand over a few months. I shot nearly everything the local ranges had to rent, but only the 1911's spoke to me.
Glad your Wife caught the bug...

All the gun safety one could ever want or need can be found in the index finger.
