    my romantic thoughts today

There I was, at the range with my 1911, The target turned towards me and I drew, the sound of my piece clearing leather was like wind blowing through the trees, the view down the sights was perfect, the safety was as instinctive as breathing to flip off, the trigger pull was short and sweet, and the hammer fell onto the firing pin perfectly, the hammer hit the primer, the primer went off, and combusted the gunpowder perfectly to send the .45 acp round down the barrel. The sound of the round penetrating the paper is sweeter than any chocolate or pie on the planet and as the smoke clears, I see that I have made the perfect shot. dead center at 50 feet. How sad is it that I am already having romantic thoughts about the gun I don't have yet. Soon, a 1911 will be in my hands, oh yes yes it will be in my hands

    Cool

I am beginning to worry about you Chris. Please get the 1911 soon before you need professional medical help.

My hearing went far too south too long ago to hear all that! I hope the dream doesn't become a nightmare.

You forgot the wonderful smell of gun-powder. And the warmth that forms in your heart.

Two smells in this world I wish they'd make into candles and perfume/cologne. Gun powder and Hoppe's gun cleaner. MMMMMMM. You know that scene off Police Academy where Tackleberry slaps on gun oil before his date? Yeahh buddy. One day I hope I meet that guy. Lol.
