After a lot of shopping and review for some good defensive shooting and night sights I decided to purchase some XS Big dot sights. The cheapest I have seen them is from Cal Sporting Armory http://www.calssportingarmory.com/ I paid $95.00 for the Glock front and rear set and $47.00 for a new front for the LCR. Cal's service was excellent.
The sights arrived with all of the tools and directions necessary to install the sights (with the exception of a small punch needed to remove and install the LCR sight). The XS sights installed quickly with ease; any dummy can do it! I haven't had a chance to shoot them yet, but with some draw and point drills, I can tell they will improve how rapidly I acquire my site picture, especially with the LCR which only had a black post rear sight before. I will report back after some range time. Here are some pics!
