    Range time with S&W 642 and Glock 19 gen4!

The 642 is coming around so I can put 5 shots in the center mass rapid fire 5-7 yards. It is great to practice with 148 WC they have low recoil, however, +p stuff is a handful, in fact my hand was sore later on, I have shot 44mag and 454 casull and can't say I was sore after range time.

I have been carrying the 642 IWB with a clip draw and it works great.

The Glock 19 gen4 is getting smoother and smoother after a total of 300 flawless rounds. I do like the grip and the lighter recoil, a sight change will be needed to make it right for me, maybe XS Big Dot or similar.

    Very nice.

I'm interested in all this info coming to light on the Gen 4. I have a Gen 3 (23), but having small hands makes it difficult to keep the muzzle down and maintain good trigger control. So, does the Gen 4 reduce the LOP? or just the circumference of the grip? Honestly, the width of the grip doesn't bother me, it's just that the trigger is a little hard to reach.

I am told if you use the medium back strap it is the same size as the gen3, so the grip is a little less distance from rear of grip to trigger, same width.

Seems the Glock Gen 4 reports are starting to swing more toward the positive than the negative. Enjoy. Both!

Sounds like a good range trip. Keep working with the 642. Have you tried some other grip options (hogues, pachs) to reduce felt recoil? Also, if you grip high and roll your left thumb up over your right thumb base (DAO revolver grip), it really helps with recoil and control. The snubby .38 is a versatile carry piece. I switched my 442 grips to old wooden grips which enabled me get get a higher grip. The closer you can get your hand to the bore axis it will help. Glad both are working out.
