Used to be a variety of autoloaders, one as a primary and another as a BUG. Now it's just a revolver in the pocket or on the ankle, maybe on the waist if I feel like it. As I get older I find the simpler and less complicated things to be more appealing.

Primarily its a 1911 for me. However, I like carrying revolvers as well. When its warmer out and its harder to conceal a 1911, I will sometimes carry my SW 642 and when I'm hunting I love carrying my S&W 329PD in .44 mag

The average revolver toter is most likely a little more elderly than the average semi-auto toter here.

At the time of this post,19 voted wheelgun as opposed to 64 who carry autos.I carry Glocks, simply because they are simple, hold more and the mags are slimmer than the round ammo holders that most people keep with their wheelguns.Sorry about saying 'round ammo holder',but my mind is blank.

My journey to revolvers has been long.....I went from carrying a BHP + 2 mags as my first handgun for a long time to a 1911 + 2 mags for even longer, to a G17 + 1 mag for a while, then a G29SF + 1 g20 mag for a bit... to a j-frame +2 speed strips to a Taurus j-frame +2 speed strips to ruger LCR .357 +2 speed strips. Up until the taurus I used to carry a p3at as a backup weapon as well. It has been a long strange journey to the revolver and I am glad I finally got there.

My whole goal now is lightweight. I had one incident in all of those years with the BHP and only fired a few shots which stopped the threat. Never even came close since then. I don't live in a city, I live in a low crime area, and when I am home or out wheeling around, my AK + a sixpack of mags is my primary go to anyway. I carry a lightweight knife, a tiny county comm light, and my revolver + 2 speed strips and wallet, phone, and keys and I am GTG. I do not feel under gunned.

I carry a Kahr CW9, in a CTAC barely in front of my left hip. For those that don't know Kahr pistols are somewhat like a combination of semi-auto with a revolver trigger. It takes awhile to get the great trigger, in doing so, it has become my favorite CCW firearm. A really outstanding design.

I carry a Bersa CC, I had a DB 380, got rid of it right before the trigger spring broke. Thinking of a Ruger LCR because I'm in a wheelchair. Don't know yet ?
