    new pony in the stable

to my disappointment my new kimber pro raptor 2 wouldnt function reliably no matter what ammo i used and since it wasnt reliable it had to go.

to replace it, i picked up my stainless colt combat commander XSE today. i havent had the chance to shoot it yet but if it functions as good as it feels it will be a great addition to my 1911 collection (that just keeps growing). im reserving my opinion until this weapon proves to me that it functions as good as it looks and feels in my hand, but my expectations sure are high. ill take it to the range tommorrow, expect a range report (good or bad) soon.

    Beautiful Colt Commander

I am also very fond of Colts, and have a number of them. Although the Colt Company has had its ups and downs, their guns are generally very well made and reliable. When a company started in the 1840s and is still in business today, it must be doing something right.

Do let us know how it goes at the range. Hopefully it shoots as good as it looks.
