    M&P full size .45 AC P- strange - 8 lb tigger pull????

I have a full size M&P in 9mm and now a .45 ACP. Sensing a noticable difference in trigger pulls, I measured the trigger pulls. The 9mm was about 5.5 lbs and smooth - completely stock. I haven't had/shot the .45 as much and it's right at 8 lbs. It is my understanding that the M&Ps come with a trigger pull of about 6.5 lbs.

Anybody else experience an unexpected heavy trigger pull on their M&P?

And, BTW, with 230 gn Blazier Al case range ammo, it packs quite a bit of recoil. I am eager to compare it with my Sig P250 in 45.

I would guess that mine is around 6 lbs or so. However, after a few hundred rounds and lots of time dry firing it the trigger is still spongy and rough.

I'm thinking about sending it out for a trigger job.

I think a lot of firing/dry fire is why my 9mm M&P trigger is smooth and 5.5 lbs. I suspect the .45 will do the same thing but I'm going to speed that up a bit by doing some trigger work on it. I'll post the results when I'm done with it.

Hmmm, my .45 is pretty new; that just may be what happened. I have a plunger and spring coming from Apex (because like an idiot, I lost mine ). If the plunger and spring they send me actually fits it, it will mean I have the non-Mass version - Apex asked me about that.

It does sound like you purchased a Mass. compliant M&P. If that was not your intention, you should call S&W to see if they will change it for free... They are known for doing good deeds like that.

Mine is between 6 and 6.5 I have over 2000+rounds through it and probably around 200 dry fire squeezes...

Let me guess, it shot out doing an Apex sear install? LOL.... I got lucky and found mine with a magnet, it was a miracle!

My 45c has a trigger pull similar to my XD9 so pretty sure it's not 8 pounds

Even dumber than that. I thought I could do some things that didn't involve the housing the spring and plunger are in so I decided to leave it in place since it is purportedly pretty challenging to reinstall. When I started to reassemble the gun, the parts were gone. I spent the next hour or so searching every where for them. Carpet on the floor doesn't help.
