Glock +2 mag extensions

I have a G23 that I want to buy some +2 mag extensions for...

Has anyone had any experience with the factory Glock +2 extensions? I'd prefer to stay with factory parts, but I've been looking at the Scherer extension as well, which come 2 to a package, and even cost slighly less.

I have always had good luck with the Glock +2 extensions. I have some for my G17 & G26 mags. Never a problem.

I've got a few of the el-cheapo +2's from CDNN. Never had a problem with them and I am, at this time, planning on getting three more.
No experience with the Glock factory parts.

Schreder(?) sucked for me. Many times they may pop off under spring pressure while I was shooting.
Glock +2 worked very well for me on my 23 mags.
Don't forget to get the added strenght springs too. Without these you'll have feed issues near the last couple rounds.

I never tried +2 extensions. I have the extensions that don't add capacity but they add extra for the pinky to rest on for my Glock 26.

May I ask why you want them? Is it for the added capacity or just more room for your grip? But either way, wouldn't the Glock 22 mags do the same?

Why don't you just use the G22 mags. I have a 30 and the 21 mags work just fine in it. Plus they're factory and you don't have to worry if your spring will be able to handle the two extra rounds or your extension following off. I know some people like them but I don't trust the extensions for serious work.

I would just use G22 mags, but they hang out the bottom far, and I'd like something a little cleanerl ike the G23 mags with a smooth cap over the bottom.

It would be nice if Xgrip made an extension piece for adapting Glock mags... much like they do for HK, Sig, etc.

If you're extending the grip to the next size gun, why not just buy that gun and do it right? The barrel is not the difficult part to conceal, the grips are.

Depends on how you're carrying.
When I carry Appendix IWB and have a long car trip, barrel length is far more important than grip length.

I would just carry Glock 22 magazines instead of +2 extensions. Otherwise I would add them to Glock 22 mags and use them as spare magazines.

Because I wanted a gun that could serve both purposes, meaning that a g23 can shoot any length .40cal glock mag. I like the concealable size of a 23... and don't see the real need for a 22. I would like to use either extended base mags, or g22 mags as back-up mags.

I'm with you there. And nobody makes such a thing? You'd think there would be a market for such an item.
