Well, I finally drank the koolaid

Well,..I did a month ago anyways. My academy is shooting G17s for the firearms portion of our training, so I figured what a better excuse to go pick one up to train with prior.

At the shop myself and the owner began talking about the 10mm caliber, and how it had gained my support as one of the most versatile and powerful calibers out there. After picking his brain some what, and knowing that Glock is discontinuing factory night sights, and od/desert tan frames I had him order me a Gen 3 G17 with factory nightsights and the awesome RTF2 finish, as well a Model 29 10mm in OD.

With the G17, it points better than my M&P 9mm., but I prefer the S&W Trigger. The 29; however, is awesome. Totally butter stock trigger, and is controllable without a pinky grip mag extension! The ability to go from 125g HP @ 1600fps to 230g hardcast @ 1100ish is awesome with one gun. To boot, it's a hoot to shoot! You can keep your 45s

Anyways, more koolaid coming soon. I need a Fullsize G20 now!

Congrats on your new GLOCKS, I actually saw some 10mm HP ammo on a store shelf in my hometown just yesterday. It was at a farm and home store, I've never seen any at Wal-mart.

I'm still slowly becoming a Glock fan, but before I was one I was of the opinion that every self-respecting man should include a G17 on his list of guns every man must own.

A Model 20 is next, and then maybe a 19.

Eventually, I plan to do the opposite, and get a G26 and a G20. A subcompact 10mm would beat me up if I tried shooting it all day at the range.
