    Question XS Big Dot Sights

Anyone use these sights on your weapon?
Looking for a quick target picture and I always look for the front sight and
not concerned with the rear, could be black. i am not needing night sites but
want a good set for day and maybe low light situations. Any suggestions for
good CCW sights please reply. I carry a glock 23. Thanks!!

I painted my front sight flourescent orange and find that it's now very fast to pick up in almost all conditions that are brighter than twilight.

The brightest flourescent orange paint I've found at our local hobby shop is in the Krylon "Short Cuts" line of miniature spray can hobby paints. Numbers on the label include KSCS050, SCS-050 Glow Orange, and a UPC number of 34504-00050. Don't know what all the numbers mean.

    Cool

I have them on my G-23 and like them for close, fast work. As distance increases the dot tends to obscure the point of aim somewhat but my G-23 is a defensive carry gun and from 0-50 feet the sights are right on, just dot the I.

I have XS Big Dots on both my G26 AND my G19...Extremely easy target acquisition! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone for self defense weapons. JMO
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

I tried them on my G35 and had issues with covering the target up. Yes up close not an issue, but up close I can point shoot faster than sighted so I did not see them. Went back to FO front site.

I've shot with them on 1911s and GLOCKs...I have them on none of my guns and the guys who HAD them don't anymore. These are a gimmick solution to a training problem; if you're having trouble acquiring your front sight, work on your presentation instead of putting a golf ball on your slide. (IMHO)

These are not a gimmick, that's just your opinion. I have them on my M&P and I think they are great. I would recommend them. Maybe your guys could not adjust to them. It does take a little adjustment. This is just my opinion.

The videos I have seen on these type sights caught my attention.
Yes it is a personal preference and I'm up to other daylight/twilight
choices for CCW. Maybe fiber optics could be a thought as well. I did'nt
want to start a ******* match over this, chill guys and I value everyones opinion.
Thanks for your replies. i read each and every one.

XS Big Dot work extremely well within the limits of what they are and how they should be used IMO. Of course I can point shoot better than many I know can shoot with sights so its all about practice. Very easy to get on target and for fast follow-ups but they are best suited for close-in social work and not punching small close groups in paper. I use them on the G26 but have Trigicons on the G19.

I don't see them as a gimmick. I don't see well and just the big dot front sight on a Colt New Agent works for me.

I have had them on my G19 for about a year and I do like them. They are very fast to target. As others have said, they take some time to get used to.

I have XS big dots on three guns, Kahr PM9, Kahr P40, and set on my LCR they are excellent sights and make low light acquisition very easy.
