Well my wife has been carrying this Kahr PM9 for a couple years now & unlike me (which has had many different edc's) she has not. She love's the little 9mm & so far the only change we made to it was fitting some XS Big-Dot night sights.
Well after some time of her saying "i wish the slide was pink" her wonderful husband (that's me, lol) tore the little gun apart & sent the pieces to "Jim's Gun Supply" in WI and had the slide, trigger & slide release lever done in "pink lady" Now it looks great but iam concerned with how "duracoat" will hold up, i hear it's great stuff but i guess well find out......

A large part of DuraCoat "durability" is in how well it was prepped. It is, after all, a paint, and no paint is immune to wear. I've used it on a couple of pistols (recently) and am withholding judgement on it's long-term durability. I'm sure there are others out there who had it applied long ago and can give a more experienced opinion.

"People in Arizona carry guns," said a Chandler police spokesman. "You better be careful about who you are picking on."
That is definitely....pink. Hey, if mama's happy, all is right with the world. Kudos to you for helping her realize her dream. I was in my local gun shop one time looking at snubs and the owner held up a pink revolver (not grip, but the frame was pink). He said, "The baddest dude in the county should carry this gun. If a guy is man enough to pull a pink gun an someone, he won't think twice about shooting them." It may actually be worse to be sitting in jail having been shot by a GUY with a pink gun.
Bad enough to be a criminal in jail after getting shot by a woman...but to get shot by a woman with a pink gun?! Dude will never live it down...
Gotta be some deterrent value in that!
Very well said indeed
I kinda think truth be told that she wanted it "pink" so i would not carry it anymore ( as i used too when i wanted to deep conceal )

I think you could maybe get a little cottage industry going, doing custom work for the Pink Pistols! http://www.pinkpistols.org/
Looks like you are committed - You'll have to tell us how it holds up.
Was lookin at some of my Old subscribed threads & came across this so thought id answer...
Its been 1.5 years since this was done & even though she carries it in a Crossbreed Mini Tuck it still looks GREAT
BTW: we "may" be selling this because she wants a Kimber Solo w/Laser Grips, which we will "pink" the slide on also
