    Bersa Thunder 9 Stress test

My experience with Bersa is they are built like a tank, durable, reliable, not ammo sensitive, and not sensitive to limp wristing.

Here's a video that is on the Bersa/Eagle website. The title reads "Bersa 1,000 shots - no jamming" with two rapid firing shooters (both firing right & left handed). A total of 86 (17+1) magazines are used with one Bersa Pro 9 HC. Water is poured on the gun at the 1020th round, 1173rd round and 1428th round. Before the video ends, the total reaches 1445 rounds and still showing the Bersa Pro 9 HC firing with a full magazine.

    The Link:http://www.bersafirearmsusa.com/videos/test.html

Someone on the Bersa forum said they put 3,000 rounds through their Thunder 9 without cleaning and it was still going (not continuous like this video).

For those with questions regarding Bersa reliability and durability, hopefully this will be helpful. The video is kind of boring, but I found it interesting to watch how the brass would fly as they fired weak hand, rapid, etc.

I want that guy's job. Looks like something a deaf person can do.

It's probably like working at a donut shop...pretty cool at first, then after a while the last thing you want to even think about is a donut.

Oh I bet you would still not feel good even though the sound would not be loud! That has to be a ton of vibrations and pressure!

You're right. That has to hurt, especially given my constant migraines.

I wonder, though... if you watch the video, those two shooters have pretty thick arms. I'm sure the constant vibration has something to do with that.

It's funny you say that because I was starting to think that after about 200 rounds straight, the fun may be zapped out of it pretty quick! You would need to have some big arms to shoot that many rounds that fast.

Does anyone know if the Bersa Thunder UC can handle +P or +P+ rounds?

According to Bersachat.com it is rated for +P and members there post using 147gr +P in them with no problem. Haven't found anything about +P+ yet.

Edit: Some posters have indicated they have shot some +P+ out of it with no problem, but no one seems to be putting a regular diet of them through.

One round seemed not to go all the way into battery on the last round in that magazine. He dropped the empty mag, inserted new fully loaded mag, pulled back on slide a tad and let it go and kept on getting it.
