Bought M&P 40c today
After much research, I bought a M&P 40c today. Fired the Glock 23, & 27, the full-size M&P 40, the Sig P229, a used Beretta 96D, and a few others over the last few months. I intend it to be my EDC, after I practice with it quite a bit.
I am adding to a very small stable: it's only my 3rd handgun. The other 2 are SW 3913 (9mm) and Ruger GP100 4" (.357).
Brand new, price was $553.76 including taxes, 2 magazines, etc.
I probably could have gotten it cheaper online or used, I suppose, but what the heck.
Next I want to get some flavor of 1911...probably not for carry, but just, well, because.

Welcome to the M&P family! You will love this pistol!
The Ruger MKIII 22/45 is the worst handgun in history to take apart, but is one of the funnest to shoot...

I'm sure you will be pleased. My 40c is several years old, carried almost daily and is a sweet, accurate shooter.
Its a shame that youth is wasted on the young.

Love my M&P
I have an M&P 40c and I love it. Feeds everything, is more accurate than I am and is easy to conceal. Enjoy!!

yeah I know, I know. I thought it even as I typed the message, but after being laid off for 2 years, I have a LOT of "catching up" to do. A digital camera is far down the list at the moment. Let's see, still need a new lawnmower, both cars are on their last legs, Catholic school tuition to pay for the kids (1 in 4th grade, 1 in 10th grade), been running a defiicit at the karate school that my wife and I run (not my "day job"), had to buy a bunch of clothes for work...you get the, heh, picture.
My job gave me a Blackberry but I am still hesitant to use it except for business, so I can't really use that for the pics either, just yet anyway.
I threw $50 or $100 into the "cookie jar" every paycheck until I could buy the Smith (are my priorities in order? Sure!). Probably paid more for it than I should have, but I have a loyal feeling towards the particular retailer - he helped me out a few times while I was laid off - http://www.westborngunshop.com/ (but it still toasts my cookies a little bit to see the same gun for almost $100 less online...)
But honestly, the M&P is as stock as you can get, it's not tricked out or anything, it's the standard M&P40c, no external safety. So I could cheat and insert a pic from online somewheres, but what's the point in that? When I do get a camera, I'll post some pics of my, okay, "mini-stable."

Don't worry about the pics. We know what a M&P looks like. Spend money on ammo--you'll enjoy it more than a silly photo.
