I have a 6 inch Python, in fact I've had several throughout the years. I used an 8" for deer hunting and have taken them out to about 125 yards or a bit more. The 4 inch was a nice size as well.
Here's my alltime favorite "snake", it's a 6 inch Diamondback. The thing I have considered to be most important about Pythons is to change the grips. The Pachmayers make a huge difference in shootability but they still want to muzzle drop as you shoot. These Hogues actually keep the gun in the perfect position, it makes these feel like a new and better gun.
I can't begin to count the number of squirrels shot with this, and I used it competitively for metal silhouette chickens at 100 yards
