Wink One excuse is as good as another.

When you "need" a new gun. One excuse is as good as another. I work for a small private security company and there is talk that they may train us and authorise us to carry sidearms. So I "had" to have a new gun. Naturally.

    Being a "revolver guy" I knew what I wanted. A 4" barrel, Model 10, 38 special. The 5" barrel, Model 10, 38 special, I already have, just wouldn't do.

And I found one. Whoever owned it before was so ashamed of this low capacity, low tech, old fashioned thing, that they apparently didn't take it out of the box very often.

Now you wait. They'll tell me they want us to carry a 9mm semi IF they go through with the plan. Oh No!! I'll have to go gun shopping AGAIN!

Ahhh, the ol model 10 - nicely done CajunBass!

My wife's cousin, who is terrified of shooting guns, but not anti-gun, has two guns her Uncle Bill carried as a dectective. It's been a really long time since I saw them, but as I recall one is a model 10 and the other is a Chief's Special. What a waste, she has no appreciation for these guns at all, well, except they are Uncle Bill's. I may have to make her an offer on them.

Congratulations on a nice find. About 3 years ago I found a Model 15 in the original box like that. The asking price couldn't be negotiated so I paid it and never looked back.

Very nice pickup, and as far as excuses, whatever makes ya sleep at night is good enough. LOL

Nothing like a good old model 10 to carry. I love my 3 K-frames and carried m 66-1 all week deer hunting.

That looks stinking new! Wow, great purchase!
