If I'm going to be late or out of town the mossy goes into the bedroom.
Now... if the power goes out or there's "police activity" in the area then the Mossy 590 and the AR come out, along with the wifes Glock 19.
(when I lived in a MUCH worse part of town I had a Sig 220 in a SOB and a Glock 30 in a shoulder rig)

Carry piece
Carry piece to get to the shotgun (Mossberg 500) loaded with 00. Thinking of bringing it down one size of shot to prevent over penetration of stray shot.

SP-101 with a 3" barrel loaded with 38 Specials.
Why?
Because it's what my wife is comfortable shooting.

I keep my HK USPf .40S&W with me whatever room of the house I'm in, and it's on my nightstand when I retire. I have carried it, but prefer to carry my USPc .40.

P14*45 Signature, in the night stand drawer beside the bed. High cap, I shoot it very well and it has never failed to function.
