I like it. I'm intrigued by a full-sized 1911 chambered for 9mm.

That's pretty cool... I imagine it must be a very, very sweet shooter, with next to no recoil. And the basic black really looks good on it.
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.
WOW! That is one SA-WEEET lookin' 1911. I've been on the fence for awhile about getting one as I have only shot them but never owned one. If I take the plunge, I want it to look just like yours. Really nice. BTW I also like the old school black talons in the background.

It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!

oh wow, didnt know you're on DC forums, i was just admiring ur SA mil spec and GI mod pictures on 1911 forums.com
i love the plain black 1911, absolutely love it
Very sweet looking 1911 ! I am also into basic black. Mr. Brownings other design the P-35 is the perfect platform for the 9mm in my humble opinion. Now if that 1911 was in .45 ACP that would be the perfect platform for that cartridge.

I am a huge fan of the flat trigger. Looks as good as it shoots.

Nice looking pistol. I really like my 1911 in 9mm, it's almost like shooting a .22 with a louder bang.
fyi, black talons are now illegial due to the teflon coating
"The value you put on the lost will be determined by the sacrifice you are willing to make to seek them until they are found."
Black Talons do not have a Teflon coating, and there is nothing in and of a Teflon coating that makes a bullet illegal. Black Talons are not illegal to purchase, possess, or use.
The KTW ammo developed in the 60's had a tungsten core and a Telfon coating which separated the ultra-hard tungsten from the gun's rifling.
Best to research such information before disseminating it as fact.

Agreed with Smitty. Winchester makes their Ranger ammo. Same thing as Black Talons, except that the brass is not nickel.
