    New SIG

    Hey, everybody,

Just a few pics of my new SIG! First one! Fresh right out of the case. Well, I did wipe it off because, man, they shipped this thing WET! I just haven't disassembled it or cleaned it yet.

It's a P220 Carry SAS. It has the short reset trigger, the mild carry melt, night sights, the thin plastic P220 grips, and it came with two mags. I like the absence of both the rail and the forward cocking serrations.

It's perfect in my hands. Love it. Can't wait to clean it up and shoot it.

    All wrapped up:

What's with the gray grip wrapper? I've only ever seen the blue or the red.

It doesn't seem to have as much "melt" on the front and rear of the slide as compared to some others I've seen.

The "SIG SAUER Custom Shop" logo is not engraved into the slide but just laid on there in gold. It will probably wear off with holster wear.

Let me know what you think.

Sorry for the poorly lit, crappy pics. It's all I can do for now.

Enjoy it, I've got a commemorative run 220 SAO and out of the box it has one of the best triggers i've felt on a gun.

The P220 is a very fine pistol, congratulations.

I have a standard P220 that is super accurate and has about 1450 flawless rounds through it so far.

Congrats on the P220 Carry SAS. Great pistol. I really like the P220 series. I have a P220ST and P220 Compact SAS DAK and enjoy shooting both of them.

Congrats on the new Sig, If you have time take a pic of the night sightes? is it a three dot ? I wouldn't worry about the logo the Germans are pretty good about making things last. I've got a standard 220 I've had for 20 years still doing it's thing.
