What load did you use when it was your backup? I understand that older BullDogs had some "issues" like a problem with the lockup and something about a barrel shroud or sleeve? Anyway the newest generation of the BullDog seems to have solved all these issues.

I really like the Ruger SP-101's in .357mag. I have a 2" & 3" version. I just recently came across a Smith & Wesson K Frame 65-5 in the same caliber that is becoming a favorite as well. From time to time I carry my 2" Taurus 415 in .41mag. It's a little heavier than the others but packs a large bore magnum punch when it is needed. It has a ported barrel which really helps keep the muzzle out of my forehead.
