    LCP or PF9

I'm looking for a small semi auto for summer carry. What would you recommend between the two? I'm leaning towards PF9. Dimensions seem similar, but get a 9mm instead of .380.

LCP or PF9? Which would you choose?

Are you looking to pocket carry or just IWB carry?

More likely IWB. I'm not too interested in getting new pants to hide a gun.

For IWB, that PF9 will fit really well. Ask me how I know.

I have both. For pocket carry the LCP is much " smaller" when it's in your pocket. For IWB carry the size difference doesn't really make much difference so I would go PF9 for the larger caliber.

If you read the specs they might appear to be similar, but if you see and hold both of them you will notice the difference. The LCP is significantly smaller, but is strictly a short range weapon. It's OK for pocket carry, but it's very small and almost a little hard to draw quickly due to the size. I was close to buying one, but after I shot one I decided it wasn't for me. It's almost too small and the sights weren't good. I wanted something that I knew I would practice more with and I just didn't think I would do that with the LCP. Your criteria might be different than mine, but in either case I recommend handling both of them at the same time.

PF9 will be much harder to pocket carry. My LCP has given me no problems. My PF9 had ftf more than 100 times in 600 rounds.

If you're able to IWB conceal either one comfortably, I feel it would only make sense to carry the larger caliber.

Larger does make more sense. The lcp does seem to fit in a few situations the PF9 may be too large.

I think anytime you can conceal a larger caliber handgun successfully, then that is what you should carry everytime. That is why I went from a Ruger LCP .380 to a Kahr CW9 9mm, and I will go to my Glock 19 when I can conceal that.

I think you are leaning in the right direction!
    God bless our troops!
