    Problem with Pocket Carry

I pocket carry a Kahr PM9 and a KelTec 380. On occasions I find the magazines have come loose in the pocket. I carry them in Grandfather Oak Kydex pocket holsters. I enlarged the area of the holster that covers the magazine release and reduced the height of the magazine buttons. This helped a lot but I still find the magazines have been relased. I wish they made pocket pistols with European magazine release. Anyone know a better fix?

Never had this issue. I pocket carry an Mk40. I'd assume the mag release is accidentally being bumped. It happens to both guns or just one? Find a holster that covers the mag release.

I pocket carry a LCP and/or a Keltec PF9 and have never had this happen. I carry both in Desantis holsters. The PF9 in a nemesis and the LCP in a super fly. Maybe a holster change would help ?

I have carried a Kahr P380, Ruger LCP and Kel-Tec P32 in a pocket holster and have never had the magazine eject.

I had the problem with my Keltec P32. I pocket carried and I was active. I would lift and climb all day and sometimes find my mag released. I never found a solution. Not being a smart allec I now carry a 642 and its never been a problem. That is actually my main reason for changing.

I do believe that it's all in the holster.

I've pocket-carried an LCP for over a year now (heavy lifting, sitting, climbing on/off tractors, falling off ladders, etc...), and everything has stayed as it should be (well at least the gun has).

Are you bumping into things? Perhaps being more mindful of what you run into might help, I know that I walk into things all the time. What about another carry option? Like a belly band, or an ankle holster?

I pocket carry a 642 J Frame, and surprisingly, have never had that happen...

I havent had any problems pocket carrying my Kel Tec PF9. I'm with most people's opinion. It might be the holster. I carry mine in a BlackHawk #4.

I carry a Diamondback .380 in a High Noon Pocket Pal and have never had that problem. I agree with the others that say it is about the holster.

I carry in the left pocket so the mag button is pointed two the front. I had tried several holsters. My Kydex holsters cover the button. I must be bumping them. I have been looking for a s&w 637 with a 2.5 inch barrel.

    I've got on of these:

for a LCP; it provides a cutout for the mag release button so that the button does not ride against the leather. Perhaps a hole punch could do the same for one of your holsters.

    - If you can get the Seecamp to release the magazine in your pocket, there's a whole lot of pocket nonsense going on.
